Pretty Crazy, no?

Did we ever talk about this in class?

(from page 52 of Speak, Memory)
"The youngest of his sons, my great-grandfather Nikolay Aleksandrovich Nabokov, was a young naval officer in 1817, when he participated... in an expedition to map Nova Zembla (of all places) where "Nabokov's River" is named after my ancestor"

I know we talked about the connection to the Zembla of Kinbote, but I don't ever recall us bringing up Nabokovs family ties to it. Found it and though it was pretty crazy
